Finance Officer - Vacancy 

Stratherrick & Foyers require an experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Administrator to come and work for them approximately 20 hours per week, from £15 an hour.  The role can be home based with occasional visits to our office at Whitebridge.  You can be contracted or an employee.  Experience of QuickBooks would be an advantage but training can be given.

Call for Proposals and Tender 

Wooden Floor Sections for Marquee

27 April 2022

Purpose: To call for proposals and a fixed price tender for 72 square metres of removable interlocking wooden marquee flooring to be constructed and delivered to the Trust by 20 May 2022. 


Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust wishes to purchase 72 square meters of removable interlocking wooden marquee flooring – to fit a marquee approx 12m * 6m.  Ideally these will be constructed locally making a surface suitable for parties and dancing.  The key words for this specification are as follows

  1. Wooden (can be deal, ply or board material as proposed by the tender response)
  2. Interlocking (panels should be made to a single standard design to allow assembly on tehground without a sub floor)
  3. Moveable (panels should not require screwing together)
  4. Stackable (panels should not be too large or heavy to be moved and stacked manually)
  5. Robust (panels should be likely to endure more than 5 years in normal use and humid storage conditions)
  6. Screwed and safe (panels should not be hazardous – with no pertruding screws, nails or skelfs)


The exact design and materials used should be fit for purpose and chosen by the contractor.  Examples of the panels similar to those required are shown on the accompanying sheet.  Firms tendering for this job should enclose their own design and specification including measurements and thickness, materials and fixings which they would use.

Tenders should include the following information

  1. The person or firm tendering
  2. Their contact details
  3. The materials that will be used including timber specifications measurements and fixings.
  4. A design of the panels which may be hand-drawn.
  5. Price for the whole job – supply and deliver 72 sq.m of panels by 20 May 2022
  6. A cost to produce 72 square meters of panels without VAT
  7. The VAT status of the tenderer (Registered / Unregistered)

SFCT Fundraising Officer - VACANCY CLOSED

The role of the Community Fundraiser is to raise funds to ensure the financial stability of the Trust and other organisation in the Stratherrick and Foyers area whose work aligns with outcomes in the Community Action Plan.  It is a new and very exciting role and we have a goal to match fund into the area of Stratherrick and Foyers the £4 million we will receive from renewable projects in the next five years.  The role is full time but we would consider job share.  There are no supervisory requirements for this role.

Job Description

  • With support from the Trust Manager to stimulate, encourage, support and write grant applications and fundraising activities in Stratherrick and Foyers carried out by individuals, organisations and associations and the Trust on a weekly basis.
  • Develop our grant applications and fundraising in the area and support any legacy investments, community share offerings, community lottery or renewable energy investment opportunities that may arise.
  • Identify and apply for funding that meets the aims and objectives of the Community Action Plan.
  • To organise regular Craft Fair and advertising in newsletter to raise funds for communication activities.
  • Make links with individuals and groups, including companies, schools, churches and community organisations.
  • Identify and develop grant, fundraising and legacy initiatives to engage individuals and groups including companies, schools, churches and community organisations.
  • Encourage local participation in SFCT calendar of events. 
  • Work with organisers of events taking place in Stratherrick and Foyers to encourage participants to raise funds for community projects specific to the Community Action Plan
  • Advise and launch a ‘Friends of Stratherrick and Foyers’ legacy programme
  • Produce resources such as posters, sponsorship forms, fundraising packs and thank you certificates to support and promote community fundraising events.
  • Actively find new supporters to promote Stratherrick and Foyers collection tins and merchandise across the area and grow income as a result
  • Recruit and support volunteers to assist you with fundraising activities 

 Community Fundraising Administration

  • Record all CF data and contact activity
  • Respond to CF enquiries, sending agreements, fundraising packs and thank you letters. 
  • Add CF events to the website.
  • Log and maintain collection boxes.
  • Ensure risk assessments and agreements for CF events are sent and completed as and when needed.  

Friends of Stratherrick and Foyers Groups

  • To explore the potential and provide administrative support and general support to the Friends of Stratherrick and Foyers legacy programme.
  • To build effective relationships with Friends of Stratherrick and Foyers.  

Fundraising materials for Community Fundraising

  • Order and distribute CF materials and merchandise.
  • Monitor stock levels and carry out a regular stock take. 

Other duties

  • Regular reporting and evaluation on areas of responsibility 
  • Keep up to date with local government legislation, charity law, national fundraising guidelines and SFCT policies and procedures to ensure all fundraising activities comply. 
  • To undertake all other reasonable duties as required by the organisation. 
  • Provide support to the initiatives and events organised by other SFCT volunteer groups, including providing help and attendance as needed.
  • This is a full-time position 37.5 hours per week. Note that some weekend and evening work may be required.  We would consider a job share.


  • £25,400 to £33,500

Holiday entitlement

  • 35 days pa pro rata

Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust ‘SFCT’ is looking for a person to provide buildings and facilities management and caretaking cover for cover for buildings owned/managed by SFCT and in particular The Wildside Centre with limited requirements at Errogie Church/Riverside/Foyers Bay.

  1. Minor maintenance of buildings - Preventative and Reactive maintenance

  2. Manage with the Trust Manager complex repairs and maintenance tasks requiring specialist knowledge and skills. 

  3. To provide key-holder service to allow entry to Community Groups and other users

  4. To ensure security of building and grounds when not in use

  5. To provide access and manage contractors and maintenance personnel as required

  6. To provide monthly water and electricity meter readings, weekly clean of property including vacuuming, dusting, emptying of bins, cleaning of kitchen surfaces and sinks, cleaning and disinfecting WC’s including floors, replenishing supplies of toilet roll, soap and handtowels, ensuring correct waste bins is placed for collection by Council, sweeping of external entrance and paths, litter picking of grounds and car parking, fire alarm tests and, when necessary, snow shovelling and salting to maintain safe entrance and walkway.

  7. Some minor gardening and plant maintenance works including tasks such as the changing of light bulbs and fixing leaks

  8. Order cleaning supplies and equipment and maintain an appropriate stock at all times

  9. To provide monthly window clean

  10. Notify the Trust Manager when major repairs or structural issues are required

  11. External contractor suitability, management and assurance

  12. Ensure users clean and maintain the building after use and cleaning when appropriate.

  13. Staff (cleaner) supervision and management

  14. Member of event planning group and assume responsibilities given

  15. Support to Project/steering groups

  16. Administrative support (scanning and forwarding letters received and Wildside bookings)

  17. Ensure compliance with legislation in terms of Statutory Legislation, Health, Safety and Environmental Management etc.


No specific qualification is required for this role but the applicant must be able to demonstrate good general practical and maintenance skills needed for this role.


The post holder will be required to vary his/her personal working hours according to the requirements of the job which includes out of normal hours working. The post holder will be required to work evenings as required




As part of the ongoing redevelopment of The Wildside Centre and the surrounding area, Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust are looking for contractors who are able to assist with the landscaping of the outdoor space.

This will be done in two phases, with Phase 1 focussing on the path surrounding the building.  The focus of this Phase is:

  • To upgrade the path around the Wildside building and extend it to the marquee entrance, making it accessible to all abilities and users (including wheelchairs).
  • To incorporate ramps to fire exits into the lounge and lecture theatre and openings onto potential decked area at the rear of the land.
  • Following consultation with the project team, our preferred option for path material is timber, as it is in keeping with the landscape and likely to be the most cost-effective.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Wildside Centre to support local businesses or community groups.  As Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust open the doors to more events many will require bar facilities, catering options and audio visual support.  We hope supporting local business in this way will support you and help create local employment or help you raise funds for your community group.  We aim to support members of the community by providing information to make the organisation of their events a little easier.  We are offering the following opportunities;

If you are a licence holder run a mobile bar (this is likely to be one contract).  Service details and price list required.  Glassware price also required.

If you run catering services and provide menus for meetings, buffet menu for events, sit down events (ie a wedding or awards ceremony) (we will provide users with optional menus from several contractors and evaluate service).  Service details and menu per head list required.  Crockery price also required.

Provide DJ/Lighting/Technical support for events and meetings.  Service details and price per hour/event required.

Provide decoration for events such as all age birthday parties and weddings. Service details and price list required.

Call for Expressions of Interest

Errogie Kirk Repurposing Project 2021

Errogie, Inverness-shire, IV2 6UH.

Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust Limited owns the former Free Church building at Errogie which is to be repurposed as a community facility.  The Trust’s architect is currently developing a bill of works which will be issued to a short list of building contractors.


The building work will form the first phase of the project, focused on carrying out essential repairs and making the building wind and watertight before the onset of winter. The contract comprises remedial work on the core structure, involving repairs and improvements to the roof, stonework, internal timber linings, electrics, floor etc.


The purpose of this notice is to bring this construction project to the attention of building companies based in the Stratherrick and Foyers area.
